We’ll be present at the GCU Club Fair to explain what the GCU Astronomy Club is all about. We hope you’ll consider joining us for fun, interesting and informative club meetings and events.
Every Monday 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm ( or sometimes later ’cause we’re having fun! )

Join us for interesting and informative club meetings were members get to learn more about astronomy through lectures, games, guest lecturers and by using telescopes and our spacecraft flight simulator Voyager (on loan from TREC). Occasional field trips are also possible along with opportunities to help with club community outreach efforts. Please feel free to join us.

Fall Semester GCU Stargazing Party
On Campus Outside Building 57
Event offers opportunities to observe the heavens through telescopes provided by the Grand Canyon University Astronomy Club and by the Astronomy Association of Arizona. The spacecraft flight simulator Voyager will also be present offering tours of the Solar System. Samples of Lunar and Martian asteroids will be on display and you’re invited to take pictures through the telescopes.

Spring Semester GCU Stargazing Party

The GCU Astronomy Club’s Spring Stargazing Party is a memorial event established in honor of College of Natural Sciences professor Dr. Peter Pingerelli. Like the fall event this one offers opportunities to observe the heavens through telescopes provided by the Grand Canyon University Astronomy Club and by the Astronomy Association of Arizona. The spacecraft flight simulator Voyager will also be present offering tours of the Solar System. Samples of Lunar and Martian asteroids will be on display and you’re invited to take pictures through the telescopes.

Greer Gazers Program
Greer Community Center 74 Main St, Greer AZ
Event offers daytime solar gazing and evening star gazing with Astronomy Association of Arizona. TREC will have Voyager there throughout the day and evening to provide guests tours of the Solar System. GCU Astronomy Club members are invited to participate by operating a telescope or helping run Voyager. Contact club leadership for more information.

Benchmark Charter School 1-3-5 Program
At Benchmark Charter School, 4120 E. Acoma, Phoenix AZ
Event provides STEM programming using Voyager for the school’s 1st, 3rd and 5th graders and a family stargazing party on Friday the 29th. GCU Astronomy Club members are invited to participate by operating a telescope or helping run Voyager. Contact club leadership for more information.
Friday Feb 26th thru Sunday 28th 2027
Buckeye Air Fair
At Buckeye Airport, 3000 S. Palo Verde Rd. Buckeye, AZ
The event uses Voyager to provide STEM programming activities for invited schools on Friday and for general Solar System tours for the public on Saturday and Sunday. The event also provides an opportunity to promote GCU by distributing literature and by answering questions of attendees. GCU Astronomy Club members are invited to participate by helping promote GCU and by helping run Voyager. Contact club leadership for more information.

Event supports Copperwood’s STEAM night by providing Voyager for Solar System tours. GCU Astronomy Club members are invited to participate by helping run Voyager or by operating a telescope if telescopes are requested. Contact club leadership for more information.
